Care Advice
State of the jobsite:
The carcass, hard coating and finishing works must be complete and dry. The room must be enclosed (glazing complete) and the heating must be operational. There is no need for any re-humidification of the building.

Climatic conditions: Start the heating 3 weeks before installing the floor. It will be interrupted throughout the duration of the installation and will be progressively restarted at least one week after the installation. Temperature of the room and support: at least 15°C. Ventilation must be ensured.
In the special case of heated floors, refer to D.T.U 51.2.

Temporary storage of the flooring and accessories before installation:
The flooring panels shall be stacked such that they do not suffer from any deformation and such that they are isolated from the floor. The glues and finishing products will be stored at temperatures between 11 and 25°C.

In the special case of heated floors, refer to D.T.U 51.2.

Flatness and condition of the support surface: The support must be flat and horizontal: maximum deflection of 5 mm under a 2 m ruler and of 1 mm under a 20 cm ruler. It must be free from any traces of paint, plaster, laitance, etc. as well as dust, especially for “glued” installations.

Moisture of the support: All measures must be taken to stop moisture from building up in the support. For a concrete support, the moisture rate must not exceed 3% of the dry weight. For a wooden support, the moisture rate must not exceed 12%. For an anhydrous screed, the moisture rate must not exceed 0.5%. There are multiple simple measuring methods, verify your case with a professional. Concretely, for built-up screed, the drying time is defined as one and a half weeks per centimetre of thickness in the dry season (around twenty days in the wet season).
